The Bat Conservation International Home Page is a growing Website designed to illuminate the minds of people interested in bats. Here you will find (probably visually or aurally, unless you are seriously honing your echo location skills) a lot of information about these strange and wonderful creatures. There is a list and pictures of the 43 different types of North American bats, including, but not limited to, Peter's Ghost Faced Bat, the Lappet-Browed Bat, the Hoary Bat, the Pallid Bat, and both the Northern and Southern Yellows. The site also includes information on how to join or assist Bat Conservation International in their quest to preserve all bat species, references to books on bats for both advanced and younger readers, information on how to attract bats (and even how to make the unwanted bat depart your residence, humanely for both you and the bat), a few hints and one handy, inexpensive and purchasable title on how to construct your own bat houses.
